Give me a moment of peace
To find what came before you died
We prophesized you would find a way
So as one we could survive
Long past time to break your fall today
Once so close to home,
Now we're screaming through the blood and wind
To send your soul away
Depart in conscious mind we find
We don't need a saviour to expose the truth of what we hide
Even when wrong, we're right to shed the skin of our shadows on our own
And leave a brighter sun than we once found
You say we want the same thing, but how?
All of your lies are vital to our pending demise
Long past time to break your fall today
Once so close to home,
Now we're screaming through the blood and wind
To send your soul away
And allow a greater sense of wealth
When the last shadow falls, say it's alright
We don't need a saviour to expose the truth of where we have been
When the last shadow falls say you will bring a welcome change
Peel away the grey
Peel away the grey
I know it hurts
This won't last forever
Break if this tranquillity burns your tongue
Dissonance rings through what they’ve built
Ethereal ocean ingrained in one drop
Our future portrait of endless desire
It’s just a word and nothing more
O' bravest of hearts
Show your unrelenting will and do your part
Survive yourself so we'll outrun this place so unforgiving
Transcend & shine
Higher
Higher
Long past time to break your fall today
Once so close to home,
Now we're screaming through the blood and wind
To send your soul away

Spires was stealthy under my radar for a decade but now had a catch up with their fantastically ambitious discography - thanks for such a cool bundle. "A Parting Gift" is a bit more introspective than 2014's "The Whisperer" but in a good way. It's still the winning balance of Extreme Metal (Death/Doom and some Blackened peaks and pits) of the proggy variety with Prog Rock's fusion of ambient and soft acoustic Folk. Great memorable songs wrapped in a polished warm production. Epic and dark! ALPHA-OMEGA
I loved this album since the first time I've heard it. Emotive, dramatic, sad, fulfill feelings, pink Floyd influences are clear although the melancholic and time to time, scarred elements created an obscure atmosphere and an own identity. A masterpiece. Ceff
