Our place is placeless
Between the sand & stardust
A trace of the traceless
Through every catastrophe and creation there’s
A mention of our name
Lies in resurrection of beauty and pain
Our seamless vision of a world fallen to rise and ignite again
I'm trapped and doomed inside this womb,
I will not die here in shit and blood
Crushing the walls, I choke on my bones
The cord is cut, doubt comes alive
Your heedless breath defames my name
Rips the veil that hides your pain
Howling all the while, “the choice is mine”
One moment in annihilation’s waste
One moment for the peace of mind to taste
Searching hope, though it’s much too late
There’s still a chance to unseal your fate

Spires was stealthy under my radar for a decade but now had a catch up with their fantastically ambitious discography - thanks for such a cool bundle. "A Parting Gift" is a bit more introspective than 2014's "The Whisperer" but in a good way. It's still the winning balance of Extreme Metal (Death/Doom and some Blackened peaks and pits) of the proggy variety with Prog Rock's fusion of ambient and soft acoustic Folk. Great memorable songs wrapped in a polished warm production. Epic and dark! ALPHA-OMEGA
I loved this album since the first time I've heard it. Emotive, dramatic, sad, fulfill feelings, pink Floyd influences are clear although the melancholic and time to time, scarred elements created an obscure atmosphere and an own identity. A masterpiece. Ceff
